Check the person and the pharmacy

Read the record for the full name supplied to you.

These Alabama searches are free. Use the medical board search for a doctor, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, the nursing search for a nurse, and the pharmacy search for a pharmacy.

Check the proposed product

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) checks medicines before granting US approval. Look up the precise product name and check its form: tablet, shot or something else.

Approved products include Ozempic and Wegovy (semaglutide) as well as Mounjaro and Zepbound (tirzepatide). Their injection products were absent from FDA’s national shortage list on September 26, 2026.

Check the program before counting on payment

Take your product and prescribed use to the plan or program.

Medicare program

Read the Bridge terms

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge has a July 1, 2026 start date and a December 31, 2027 end date. Qualifying members pay $50 per month for certain weight medicines. That payment does not reduce their Part D deductible or count toward the yearly limit on what they pay for covered drugs.

Ask the prescriber whether you, your plan and your exact medicine meet the program’s rules. The insurance note explains the main checks and the $50 payment.

  • Ask the insurer to confirm the exact prescription.
  • Keep a written answer about payment and any approval the plan needs before it will pay.
  • Check the date and conditions on a cash offer.

Use the route that fits the concern

Keep the product label, care records and a clear account of what happened.

As of October 1, 2026, Alabama’s medical board asks for completed original complaint forms returned using its form instructions.

Alabama’s pharmacy board cannot handle customer-service complaints or disputes about prices or bills.
